SAM Splint is a light, flexible and malleable splint that is made up of an inner core
made of aluminum surrounded by two layers of dense foam plastic. It is used in orthopedic injuries to stabilize broken legs and arms, and can be used several times. In the event of an accident, the splint is shaped after the injured body part, which makes it durable and stable to keep the injured body part in a stable position. To hold the splint in place, a bandage of your choice is used that is wrapped tightly around the splint and the leg/arm. The splint therefore requires a bandage to work, so it may be worth supplementing with. It is also possible to cut the splint to create the exact desired shape, as well as to take x-rays with the splint on. It is easy to pack in a backpack and can be invaluable in the event of a serious bone fracture.
