Powder sprinklers are a cost-effective and reliable fire protection for small spaces or as point protection. They can be used, for example, in areas that store flammable equipment, in garbage rooms, containers or also as protection of certain flammable processes and machines in industry.

Compared to conventional sprinklers and extinguishing systems, it is easy and cost-effective to install a powder sprinkler as no piping, connections or power supply is required.

The sprinkler container is made of steel and filled with powder. The nickel-plated brass valve is equipped with a pressure gauge for monitoring the pressure in the container. The powder sprinkler is pressurized with nitrogen to a pressure of 15 bar and is PED-approved according to the Pressure Vessel Directive.

In the event of a fire, the glass bulb in the valve heats up and at 68 degrees the bulb explodes and the valve opens. The sprinkler can be recharged after it has been used.

Powder as an extinguishing agent is very versatile and effective. As it does not conduct electricity, powder can be used to extinguish fires in electrical equipment, up to 1000 volts. It is also a frost-resistant extinguishing agent that can withstand temperatures from -30°C to +60°C.
